These transitions and paradigm shifts, including collectivism, interdependence, circular economy and (nature-)inclusiveness, virtual worlds are fastening while they have impact on all levels in society.<\/p>\n<p>The challenges are profound, requiring collective responsibility, sustained creative work, and the ability to deal with complexity well beyond that required by school tasks and token activism. Knowledge Building engages students directly in the means by which knowledge in the world is advanced, and then asks them to do heavy-lifting of their ideas so they are on trajectory for making the world a better place. Please join us in taking up this challenge again together at this year\u2019s Knowledge Building Institute. Together \u2013 we can make a difference. We can meet again in real at Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Wageningen in The Netherlands. Let\u2019s meet in real live and those who are not able to travel join the hybrid sessions of KBSI2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KBSI2022 is an active knowledge building meeting. It is not listing the whole day to presenters. End of June the submissions are open for pre-conference reading and building on to prepare for conference participation. The latter, means active knowledge building during KBSI2022 sessions. This, by going into dialogue about the submitted research e.g. ideas, impacts etc., workshops, demonstrations, showcases, capacity building, hackathon, networking\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this context we welcome submissions concerning:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Designs for extending KBSI international collaborations with focus on knowledge for public good, including initiatives that incorporate UN sustainable development goals<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Case studies of knowledge building practices<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Knowledge Forum developments\u2014for example, user-interface, analytic tools, designs for meeting new people and new ideas in knowledge building\u2019s metaspace\u2014and design of the metaspace itself<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Knowledge building analytics to support researchers, teachers, and students<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">AI and knowledge building developments<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Research which contributes to insights and understanding of the students\u2019 knowledge building process; the role of the teachers; the role of supporting technologies<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Implementing knowledge building in whole school approaches<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Educational leadership for knowledge building<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Knowledge Building International networking and collaborative research proposals<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Hackathon sessions for development of supporting tools; user interfaces; implementation strategies<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Network session for knowledge building researchers, students, PhD\u2019s, and\/or teachers, policy makers etc..<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Teacher capacity building sessions<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Workshops and demonstrations (student\/teacher exchanges, demonstrations, knowledge building classes and presentations, publications\/publishers)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">other relevant themes\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><b>NOTE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ikit.org\/summerinstitute2022\/index.php\/call-for-proposals-2\/\"><u>SUBMISSION PROCEDURES<\/u><\/a><\/b> featuring an interactive knowledge building review process and conference proceedings that engage participants in co-design of new initiatives.
