Call for Presentations

Individual papers
Parallel sessions will be organised in which people can present their work. If possible, individual papers will be grouped in thematic sessions. Each speaker will have about 20 minutes of presentation time, followed by 10 minutes of discussion.

Workshops
The aim of a workshop is to create an interactive and active learning forum in which scholars and practitioners can be inspired by colleagues. A workshop will take one hour and a half.

Posters
The aim of the poster session is to give a forum to researchers to discuss their new or ongoing work, research designs, methods, or to give a forum to practitioners who want to discuss a design for in service learning practice. The posters will be linked to opportunities for round table discussion.

Symposia
A symposium is a group of 2 to 4 presentations (preferable 2 or 3 speakers plus a discussant) devoted to a specific topic and is one hour and a half to two hours in length. Proposals should address topics of broad concern to the participants. Symposia should be submitted as single submissions by the symposium organiser/convenor.

General guidelines for proposals

Proposals should be submitted by May 2, 2009. You need to submit your proposal using our SI2009 OpenConf online system. Proposals consist of a 300 word abstract. All submissions will be assessed in a double review process by a scientific committee on merit and relevance to the conference themes. By May 15th, we will be sending the "Notification of acceptance."
