The Knowledge Forum knowledge building environment has a built-in suite of programs that track student interactions with the environment. A set of this data was obtained for a variety of Knowledge Forum databases and an in-depth analysis run. The results of these analyses indicate that student interactions do not follow a normal distribution curve, but rather show a Zipf’s Law distribution more typical of scale-free networks.
