Abstract Whenever working in a community of professional knowledge workers one of the biggest challenges is to create a ‘map’ of available, common, shared Knowledge, in order to develop a common knowledge base and to learn from each other which ideas, knowledge, information, thoughts, opinions, differences, concepts, views, associations, or images about a topic exist in the community: using the BrainBreezing technique individuals are invited to explain their role and context, to provide their personal ideas and put them ‘on a coat-hook’, to indicate how familiar or important they feel with the item put on the ‘coat-hook’ and to explain further details about their ideas. After scoring all ideas are totalised through a special import utility and printed in order to create the ‘community map’, a start to knowledge building communities. |
